The Transformation of Socialism
Just as a State might own all the guns lest people should shoot each other, so this State would own all the gold and land lest they should cheat or rack rent or exploit each other. It seems extraordinarily simple and even obvious; and so it is. It is too obvious to be true. But while it is obvious, it seems almost incredible that anybody ever thought it optimistic.

The Enemies of Property
I am well aware that the word “property” has been defiled in our time by the corruption of the greedy capitalists. One would think, to hear people talk, that the Rothchilds and the Rockefellers were on the side of property. But obviously they are the enemies of property.
